Disc Priests do very good damage. Some of the disc priests I play with can pull 400k+ with lust on M+ bosses. Holy Paladins can do very good damage too but they can't really heal while doing it like Disc can.

Deathwing is really, really undergeared compared to most people at this point in the expansion so he's likely only going to get invited to bad groups unless he gets himself into a carry. Best way to do that would be to join a guild that does normal/heroic runs for alts.
