I read somewhere on Redeit that the visuals are extremely sensitive to TV settings, which I'm inclined to believe since it's a muddy mess on my tv and I DON'T have a beastly pc pumping out visuals that make it look bad. It's probaby the worst-looking non-remaster I own on PS4.

Wait until you get into a battle with two wildlife encounters and a dozen imperials in a forest with shrubbery 2-3 times the players' height that you can't walk through. WoFF was maybe the most pleasant gaming surprise ever for me. Hadn't even heard of it, picked it up on a whim, and got 50 hours beating it and the postgame and getting close to all 200 mirages

Yeah, wish there were more quests like that. Was a Witcher 3-style quest that had its own cinematics and story. Far, far more involved than go to point x and take a picture, go to point y and give some dude a potion, etc.

I still haven't found any equipment, but plenty of megalixirs and the like. And man, for anybody who hasn't unlocked chocobos yet, do so - they're not as fast as the car, but they're plenty fast and make treasure hunting much, much more pleasant. edit: Chapter 3, after unlocking gate to new area.
