don't the weapon specific shards increase attack speed for those weapons as well? i was using the greatsword shard and after it was maxed i was attacking pretty quickly with it.

towards the end when you're basically just on farm, you end up getting a bunch of boosts to your stats through passive shards and such. i don't know what he's using, but maxing out and then using the augment katana shard will give a ton of attack just by that.
