    Anaconda (2025)

So they decided to remake Be Kind, Rewind* - which already starred Jack Black! - but added a twist of a real snake attacking them while doing so? I suppose I have to give them half credit for something new, but this seems like the sort of thing I watch on a plane and forget by the time I land...

2025-2026 NFL Season Thread - God hates the Chargers

I think its safe to say the Raiders will not Commander and go deep into the playoffs this year. Which raises the question if Carroll will be around once / if the Raiders do get to that stage. As has been mentioned repeatedly, he's already the oldest NFL coach ever.

Add Purdy and amend that to two week stretch. Not sure any of us expect oldsters like Flacco or Rodgers to survive the season (hell, who knows about Stafford either). Part of this is the clear recent trend in the NFL that strong defenses (vs offenses) start well - "Get up there and kill the QB"...

Re: Burrow, I thought it was just a high ankle sprain on camera, but its being reported as a toe injury - could be looking at another Purdy situation. I didn't think the Bengals were a realistic 7th seed candidate, but that probably ends their chances.

The Dolphins are doing better this week, keeping up with a sub-.500 team, but they're all fired at the end of the year anyway - another appearance or two like last week and they may as well dismantle the team at the trade deadline, fire McDaniel, etc. and start their rebuild during this season.

As the closest thing to an illegitimate child / revival of Shadow Hearts: Covenant we will ever see, I was rather fond of it, even at full retail. Your mileage may vary depending on your love of (effectively) JRPGs, Active Time Battle systems, and Western Europe.

To be fair, the NFL has done a much better job over the last ~3 seasons of scheduling very competitive matchups the first two to three weeks, before they have to acknowledge the reality that different divisional rotations lead to wildly different Strength of Schedules.
