That mechanic is not that big of a deal. I assume you are referencing Masterworking. Just farm Treasure maps and you get plenty of Obducite. I have 50k on my character. The tough part comes from trying to get good Mythic drops. If you do not care about season stuff you can jump in pretty easy...
