I would still expect worlds to be big enough that you wont be able to scout a large amount of one before your guild wants to set up a home base. It will just turn out some guilds set up in places that suck. Also you never have every player spawn at the same point. Thats just a disaster...

im not sure why people always use PoE as an example. In general it doesnt sell power but theres is a definite need to buy stash tabs. You just cant play in any meaningful way up into chaining 78 maps without using the chaos/regal recipes and doing those with 4 tabs would be a nightmare.

Odd way to do beta. Youd think in a game thats very guild focused youd want them playing together.

Id argue its a shared responsibility. If a guild is recruiting 300 people and expecting their large battles to run well, its an unreasonable expectation to start with.

There are more people playing mmos than any game can handle in a condensed area. At some point it becomes the players responsibilities to bring a reasonable amount of players to any engagement. If guilds kept the numbers down we wouldnt have a lot of the problems that existed with past games.

i had a friend get into eq2 recently, he only needed to buy the sub and the latest xpac. total came out to around $50. If you want extra shit like mercenaries, you need to pay extra.

guessing ive probably played more PoE than anyone here and id agree its fun for a few weeks every new league. Im not complaining that they reset, id just rather players be in control of when the phases change rather than some clock.

guess that campaign FAQ tells us that there will be a set duration on campaigns rather than the resets being player controlled.

Just still thinking on it, im kind of disappointed the resets are based on time. Progression in the game should be controlled by players not some arbitrary clock. Set win conditions for when a guild/alliance reaches certain goals. 50% of cities, so and so resources. We really dont know enough...

id disagree because even if you gear up faster youll still lose when the other group, made for PvP, get geared and sieges your city. im also interested to see how this goes with players because a lot of players will instantly support it but when shadowbane put up a server like this, cataclysm...
