You are not. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in VG despite (and in a few cases - such as with the bugivator - because of) the bugs, lag or chunking. Offensive/Defensive Target still the best MMO combat targeting design.

The scope being large was caused by the management problems relatedly the lag issues could have been addressed if the scope hadn't been so large and if Brad had done the smart thing and focused on the engine instead of spending 30 million on Art when the engine was still fubar.

That's a big reason VG was so buggy at release: far too large a world, too many systems.

Brad has got a more playable MMO-in-development right now than Smed. Which, frankly, I would never have believed 6, 12 or 24 months ago, given that EQNext has been in development (in various forms) since 2008. I mean seriously - WTF?

People get on Brad for his puffery and braggadocio but Brad has nothing on Smed; which is why I've advocated for shitcanning Smed for years but was willing to engage with Brad in the early days of Pantheon, and would again if Brad would just one time admit he's not a good project manager. -_-
