Eh, the Georgeson interview was pretty meaty so I'm giving them a pass for repeating the presentation. I'd like to see one or two more similiar interviews come out of Gamescom.

1,000 orcs in crushbone would make FD pulling interesting.

Yes, I want to know the death penalty. With respect to difficulty, he seemed to indicate taking out Crushbone was going to be a multi-guild task. You'd have to think taking out a dragon should be equally as hard.

Revolution isn't out of the question if this shit continues. Remember it doesn't take a majority or even a plurality of a country to forment a revolution - look at the American Revolution, History major can correct me but less than 10% of the country was actively involved IIRC.

More like Dragons like big caves so when Nagafen is dead, another dragon might take his place (since here is this nice big empty cave) or something else might fill up the cave (a bunch of slimes? whatever) From the interview there are no more raiding X named mob raids. You can go with your...

If they let you use StoryBricks then they have to let you place NPC/mobs. Otherwise it doesn't make any sense.

    Futurama Season 7

Game of Tones was pretty good. Like Season 3 good. The Alien episode was meh. But Tones gives me hope that there might be a gem in the remaining two episodes. Edit: Holy crap, only 2 episodes left.

IIRC, they said there would be spawn points and how often they would spawn depending on how many people were around. Spawn points would change/could be destroyed. There's a lot more than copy/pasting in a dungeon or a village - as noted - places and things have attributes and of course city...

Randin's point was that once you can use SB in EQN/L you can make your own Mini-MMORPG. @Kudos I'm going to go with Teekey on this one - he's right - no one is being forced to slave over thier hot computer to make things in Landmark. And again, if it means we ALL get to PLAY THE FUCKING...

Eh. If the game is popular enough a few people may make decent money (I don't know about 60k but I could see someone making 10-12k off of sales of their stuff) not horrible for part time work. OTOH, the people will be making stuff for something they want to play, and by participating that...

Big Powah actually has a nice article on the EQN/L reveal today on eqn junkies. But he needs to send some serious UN inspector level letters to SOE to get the SB story up. @Belfest yeah free to us, not to SOE. It's got to plunk down 30 million to make the game... So 30 million for 2 is a lot...

Wizard Spires don't work in EQN according to the lore, so seems likely. That doesn't mean they won't let you fix the Spires, but presumably you need to have access to the Wizard class in EQN to use them.

    EQ Never

Well the rumors at SOE Live were that eventually you will be able to use StoryBricks to build in NPCs and Switches so you can build dungeons that have traps & etc. But that's not the first iteration of EQN/L So Mughal's right, but a little early.
  22. tad10

    EQ Never

He's talking about EQN/L not EQN. I hope you didn't realize that, because if you did realize that your comment doesn't make a lot of sense. It's minecraft the mmo which means you need a lot of seperate worlds or Bob's guild is going to build New Paris on the continent you and your guild are...

There's a nice monetization opportunity - exclusive use of a continent and/or world by a guild or guild(s). So you don't have to deal with other people claiming and building Minas Tirith in your new Antonica.

This. It has all the social tools of an MMO plus so<Red Panda Pirates>can form up and start building a guild hall and then import that hall into EQN. I don't think there are smart mobs, but there are definately critters - you've got to be able to skin cows for leatherworking, so you have to...

Yes - though it was mostly new info about EQN/L. Convo should probably post it in the OP. Adventurer class from Landmark carries over to EQN. So you can start multi-classing from the start (Adventurer/Starting Class) Looks like you can carry over your entire EQN/L character if you want...

Lol. Your nose is lengthening. Anyway, to answer @Azeth more fully - they mention Blacksmith as a crafting class during SOELive (it's in one of the Landmark videos I think) there are multiple tiers to the crafting (presumably Tier 1 to Tier 5). Now they mention the adventuring class and say...

    EQ Never

Comments at SOE Live on Landmake implied multiple crafting classes. The fact they only mention Adventurer as a seperate class at Gamescon suggests the crafting classes are not part of the 40. Also, looks like 6-man groups - Georgeson mentions 6 man encounters around 9 minutes in.

Hmm. I don't think SB works quite the way you think it does. IIRc, there are "tags" on the world not just NPC - so an area may be tagged as "gold heavy". So any Orc nearing that area automatically "knows" that the area is gold heavy.

So the Adventurer class explains how we'll be able to use Picks to dig down in EQN, given weapon limitations for standard classes. Presumably you'll need to be at least Tier 3 adventurer class to break into the tier 3 (lava level) content. I want to know if this counts as one of the 40...
