The way to enable flying is so much better than they do it in WoW. No rep gating, just complete the zone's side and main quests and then the zone aether points. You stumble upon the zone aether points for the most part through doing the quests.

Lirik started in GTA RP again on NoPixel today. He almost immediately went up to 43k viewers when he started in GTA RP today. Expect another era of GTA RP popularity to happen again.

Every character in FFXIV can port around at will and it doesn't detract from the game. I'm sure in Ion's world removing those portals equates somehow to people staying logged in longer thus meeting their time played metric.

The PC ports of the Souls games have been fine after DS1. I"m definitely going PC for 60+FPS gameplay.
