New Hardcore History about Julius Caesar and his war in Gaul. Hasn't shown up on the website yet. I was able to download it off Google play so it's probably on i-tunes. Thanks for The History of Rome podcast link, halfway through it now. I don't like his style as much some of the other podcasts...

    Disney+ Streaming Service

I'll never subscribe to more than one streaming service at a time no matter how much they splinter. Lately I've just been using red box since my interest in movies and TV shows is at an all time low.

    THE JUICE IS LOOSE

They're definitely trying to mimic the early models with those first images, but that second one is closer to the Jucie's ride. 1977: 1990: My first car was a 1982. I was lucky if it got 9mpg.

Can't help but think that Chris Cornell's suicide contributed to this.

    Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Been playing through this coop with Regime on xbone and it's ended up being way more fun than either Destiny or The Division. I don't think it has an end game but that doesn't matter to me since all we usually want from a game is a fun journey to the top.

Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)

This movie has the potential to be more fan service than Rogue One if they use no new ideas and and adhere to Rich's narrow universe theory. I hope they take their clipboards to the theater and report the results because I'm skipping this one unless I get roped into it on a family movie outing.

Assassin's Creed Origins set in Egypt

I'm ready to kick of another season of the Ubisoft formula with this and then another Far Cry installment. I liked the engine Syndicate used but the story was abysmal so hopefully they use the same engine but get some better writers. I won't hold my breath. One thing Ubisoft has always done well...

Horrible news, but I don't think there's much of a story for him to ruin this time.

    Dunkirk (2017)

Probably going to see this in the theater. I'm not a hardcore Nolan fan but I'm usually good for at least one viewing of his movies. CLS did a run down of the historical event today if you're in need of a refresher.

    Path of Exile

Getting ready for this to come out on console. Haven't played this in so long it took me a couple hours to pick a spec and make it through act 1. Prophecies, hideouts random dropped currency are new to me. Love that the zones are packed with rare loot but I'm guessing that's tied to the Turmoil...

Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)

This movie is shaping up to be a trainwreck. The most interesting part of a Whedon Star Wars movie is how his foot fetish would manifest itself.

Pretty good discussion with Charles Murray about his much derided work the Bell Curve on Sam Harris's podcast. I'll take all the well done HH knock-offs people are willing to do. Dan is great but he's only one man with limited time. On the name, just a guess: Parts of the series attempt to demonstrate how some Islamic groups evolved into death cults that glorify martyrdom. Or how martyrs are made...

    Bioware's "Anthem"

The only thing I don't like about Anthem is that it's being made by Bioware. The trailer demonstrates that they've abandoned making story driven RPGs, which is the thing that made them special. Hiring Karpyshyn seems like they're trying to put some lipstick on a pig. They sacrificed Mass Effect...

    RIP Chris Cornell

Did a little googling and Tim Commerford epitomizes why I ignore the personal activities of artists I like. I'm used to the regressive leftists wanting to save the world with blind optimisim, but it wouldn't surprise me if this guy came out as a flat earther.

    Far Cry 5

Those power lines mean it's probably much later than 1880's. Could be a relatively modern setting, but the earliest it could be is the late 1930's when the Rural Electrification Act started pushing electricity to the boonies.
