I was the same way. Bought a ton of RPGs and havent been able to get into any of them (witcher3, DDOS2, PoE2 etc..). This is the first one i've actually put more than 40mins into.
This is the same reason I gvae up my corsair scimitar. Could only comfortably use some of the buttons. Hex is perfect because all 7 thumb buttons are easy to reach.
I feel like for speed kills the timer should start the second you take an action to iniate the fight (laying down affinity booster, drinking dmg pots etc..) Lot of time wasted just running to destination.
Which pisses me off because one of the features I was most looking forward to with the 10xx series was the perspective correction tech when using multiple monitors. Dont think I saw a single game that supported it.
I really like my Razer Naga Hex. Just enough thumb buttons without getting too small/hard to press. Roccat mice are also the shit and highly recommend.
I liked battleield because I didnt like the arcade type nature of CoD or the ultra realism of Arma. BF lost me as it moved more and more towards COD with larger maps.
Man I keep trying the bow and I still hate it. Not sure what the deal is but just feels..ug. Might just be a case of me missing all the deco's i had access to on PS4 but it just doesnt feel as satisfying as using a melee weapon.

Barroth has two different charges (if thats what killed you) one is normal, the 2nd he makes a train sound before the charge. Do NOT get hit by that one or its GG.
