I guess my two biggest complaints about FO4 so far are that it feels weird as fuck to be tooling around in power armor almost non-stop from the very beginning of the game, and the building interface is just fucking terrible.

It's not a Bethesda game. I absolutely cannot imagine playing NV without Mission Mojave. I think the bug fix count is over 27000? It's basically the equivalent of the extra dev time/polishing pass that NV badly needed but never got.

You really don't need to mod the shit out of NV if it's your first playthrough because it's a complete game, just buggy as shit. Get Mission Mojave (the big community bug fix) and maybe browse for some QoL looking mods and you're good to go.
