^^ You definitely need great scripting tools imo, I was able to accomplish some pretty amazing things with the NWN script engine and not only did it not take long to put in cool quests with cut scenes, random events, and the like once you get more familiar with the tools it becomes second...

I get you, though time-investment wise I"d have to think a lot of it on Blizz"s part is just laziness. They have more money than god to employ graphics artists. Yeah, treeform is pretty gay...maybe it"d be a lot cooler if you transformed into a tree to do your uber amazing top of the line spell...

I don"t think it would be all the bad if all the forms didn"t look like total ass...if there is one thing wow really needs to do (ok outside of make pvp not suck) it"s improve character graphics. They are just bad.

Who gives a shit about what the spells name is? What I was disappointed with in WoW"s system was more that rank one fireball looked the same as rank thirteen. That"s the big deal, I initially rolled a mage in WoW thinking I"d like get to level 60 and see all the cool spell effects in the game...

Yarly, I don"t take it personal, but I do believe you"re wrong. I"ve played most MMO"s out, I don"t just taste from the WoW pool. There is a reason I"m once again playing WoW, I"m not saying its a bad game. The leveling content was quite nice, past that the game is in worse shape end-game...

^^ and no amount of boxes trumps common sense. If you play the game at any decently high level of pvp OR pve you know most of every classes abilities, talents, etc...some of the changes they make are serious mistakes just based on common sense alone and if these changes are going through 20...

+1 for a game that has real consequences...mmo"s these days are just too easy and unfullfilling. I realize most companies decide against more difficult and engrossing gameplay these days in pursuit of the almighty dollar but damn if those games of the past weren"t just plainly more fun to play.

Is it possible to get away from mana as a stat? I always hated running out of mana on my mage in pvp and then sitting there with my thumb up my butt. There has to be some better system. Your fun should not be limited to 2 minutes because of a game mechanic.

I definitely don"t want to see giant rats, bats, or boars anywhere in the game. I agree, start the players off with some tools to have fun and make them feel engaged in an epic story right off the bat.
