    Dating

Something I need to realize is most people are (very) different from me. Last relationship I had was over 20 years ago and quite frankly have zero desire to look for or be with anyone at this stage. I recognize later in life might become rough, but the sacrifice I'd make inviting someone into my...

Yeah, you're right, my apologies.. Just had triggering visions of the typical needy individual that HAS to be with someone constantly.

Another great thing about AI is that I don’t need to know Git gymnastics. I can just tell an agent, “go cherry-pick those commits from So-and-So on Such-and-Such branch into this one,” and poof it’s done.

Yeah, don't put that on your resume. You can be creative in your experiences without outright lying.

    Weight Loss Thread

I just started this about 3 weeks ago: https://www.emergeweight.com/ Injectable, but totally painless, and stupid easy to get the prescription. I'm not a lard ass at all, just beginning to get the "middle age spread" despite a regular workout regimen. Weight has been slowly creeping up over...

    Dating

Popping back into this thread instantly reminded me why dating isn’t worth the effort. Good grief. You’ve only been divorced for a year. Why are you already rushing to date someone new? Take some time to enjoy being on your own first.

    The Captive's War

Honestly, I had trouble getting through the Expanse novels (audiobooks). I picked up where the TV series left off. The narrator (Jefferson Mays) was fantastic and I did enjoy them, but I could only listen for a half hour or so before dozing off. Took me quite some time to finish them all.

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Disagree. First season was "okay", the rest are garbage. Also, sets are being auctioned off. So Kurtzman Trek is finally done.

Baldur's Gate 3 by Larian Games

I would've loved to see a DLC centered around fixing Karlach's engine. It's hinted at during the reunion camp, but it would've been great to see the full resolution.

I didn't notice the increase cost, but I guess that explains the rarity bump. You can knock Minthara out, then she'll be available at Moonrise to recruit.

It's taken 8 episodes to finally get a cool, albeit brief, Titan battle. But my god it's been a slog.

    MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Just picked up MOUSE: P.I. for Hire and honestly having a blast with it. The core game-play is classic run-and-gun "boomer shooter" stuff. Pretty basic movement and shooting, nothing revolutionary there. But damn, the art style and animations are absolutely top-tier. The game looks hand-drawn...

Yeah if this had combat and bosses like Elden Ring? All over it. Assuming the controls were sane.

You can still cheese it, by doing it in darkness and immediately going to camp.

I used to bring in the halfling hireling and make her my pickpocketer. But after a while it just got old and I simply wanted the items. The bag exploit may only work with controllers...never tried it with kb&m. But what you do is put gold in a bag. Sell the bag to a vendor. On the vendor's...

My own personal build for Gale (although anyone will do) is 2 storm sorc, 2 div wizard, 8 life cleric. He can twin haste two members then immediately sanctuary himself. Ultimate support character.

That's what a friend kept saying, "but there's so much stuff you can do!". Who the fuck cares if it doesn't have any meaning. I'm not that bored in life that I need a video game to give me pointless crap to do.

Yeah, I haven't bothered picking this up. Seems to me if you're not the type of player to enjoy "running around and finding shit" then you're not going to get into this game. Probably the same reason why BotW, Skyrim, etc. never clicked with me. Feels pointless.

I’m a software developer, but surprisingly none of my coworkers share my interests, so I haven’t made any friends at work. I'm not so sure. Unless AI becomes good at mind-reading, it takes real skill to craft effective prompts and steer the AI correctly to get the result you want. We have some Indian contractors that appear to be using AI for their code and it's a weird mess.

In another thread here on the forums, I described my idea of creating a fantasy 8-bit "super games console" using off-the-shelf components that would have existed in the mid-80s. I then realized I could write an emulator for such a thing. However, doing this properly would require extensive...

Some developers here have complained that it takes away the "fun" of coding. Which I find kind of bizarre. I write code for the end result...what is created. Not for the act of coding itself.
