    For All Mankind

I mean, getting to Titan, landing, etc is an extraordinary, extraordinary effort. There is no freaking way they could do that in the timeframe the show suggests. I'm not even sure why the writers went there. Ganymede or Europa would've been *maybe* believable since it's "next door" to Mars.

    Dating

No where did I say having a conversation with a female is torture. I talk with women all the time at work, a couple are good friends. Even they sometimes rib me over why don't you get a girlfriend. Not interested. The torture would be actively trying to find one to enter a relationship.

Baldur's Gate 3 by Larian Games

Right, I was thinking Death or Tempest would definitely be in there. Not that I totally trust what either model spat out, but might be interesting because I've never ran a light or knowledge cleric. Will give it a go.

I am going to try a "challenge" run for myself: an all cleric party. Interestingly, I had both Claude and Grok research come to the same party-optimized domain composition: war, light, life, and knowledge. Going with honour mode rules but not single-save.

You're projecting. This isn't about fear of rejection or getting hurt. I'm literally not interested in romantic relationships or physical intimacy at all. I'm simply not wired that way. Your view of what makes life worthwhile doesn't apply to me. Dating isn't worth the risk because I don't want...

Nah, it's still hilarious. Recent episode is focused on a particular character which is fine. The story is moving forward.

It's not buggy. You just need to turn on non-lethal mode and perform a regular weapon attack. No spells nor special attacks. I simply widdle her down to just a few hps, turn on non-lethal, and snack her with a basic weapon attack. Easy.

Baldur's Gate 3 by Larian Games

I don’t know... they added a bunch of weird stuff. "Finger guns" and a ton of other new cantrips that feel overwhelming. I’m specifically talking about the BG3 mod. It’s cool in concept, but none of it meshes well with the existing content. You end up way overpowered, and since the base game...

We just got a new dev manager. Dude’s been here for 14 years already as the "architect" leader, so it’s not like he’s some outsider. Had a team meeting yesterday and he drops this gem: he wants to "grow the department" by hiring a bunch of new college grads. Someone asked the obvious question...

    Project Hail Mary

Watched Project Hail Mary last night. It was decent, but not the amazing sci-fi film I was hoping for. Too silly and Disney-fied overall. I went in expecting harder sci-fi, but I did really appreciate the strong themes of friendship and loyalty..something a lot of recent movies have been missing.

Mine is measured in milliliters. Started off at .15ML and moved to .20ML. Felt pretty awful at that level and never increased it. At month two they wanted you to go to .50 and I was like hell no.

Started playing Enter the Gungeon. Initially felt this is way too difficult but starting to "Git Gud". Also, shocked only ~31% have this achievement? Considering how old this game is.

    For All Mankind

This show has crept more into science fiction than a plausible alternate timeline. There is no way they could be this much more advanced than us in about the same point in time. Getting to the outer planets is no joke and would take 2+ years at least. Also, way way too many females in position...

For our use, and specifically what my focus is, it's purely UI stuff. So I think it could work quite well for that since it's structured and has a defined pattern. But for other things that's not so cut and dry - such as incomplete or incorrect vendor specs, etc. -- yeah doubtful.

What we have right now is a bunch of Indian contractors making a god damn mess. I'm thinking about proposing that our lead developers put together solid plans, requirements, and guardrails for each feature and then hand those off to the contractors to use in Copilot/Codex/Claude/whatever.
