    The Boys

The first 5 seasons were great. Worth watching up to the completion of the original story arc.

I mean, sure, it was nice. But sex has always been something I could take it or leave it. I'm also the type that won't initiate it. I've never been a horn-dog, even during my teenage years.

I took one of those Myers Briggs personality tests in college. I think it came back with something like 95% introverted. I used to think it would be nice to have someone to travel with -- because there ain't no way I'm going anywhere by myself. But I'm such a homebody I think I'd just be...

    Widow's Bay

Loved it! The inn and especially "The Captain's Suite" were fantastic. It strongly reminded me of Stephen King's short story "1408". Super creepy with the bizarre TV video, the moving curtains, and the apparent time distortion. This episode was great. I really hope they can keep this momentum...

So, progress update for anyone that's interested: I've been on Tirzepatide (GLP-1 injection) for a month now. I haven't bothered getting on the scale..I've just been doing the "jeans test." About a year ago, my 32" jeans were getting too tight, so I bought some 33"s. Those eventually got...

This is exactly my point. Why would I want to do stuff I don't want to do to potentially get something that I don't really want? I'd be miserable. F that.

This is hilarious. Please do more of these. Also, the animation is surprisingly well done.

And how many women would I have to go through just to find the “right” one? No thanks. It’s absolutely not worth the time and trouble. That’s why, when I read people’s experiences in this thread, I’m thinking there’s no way I could deal with that. I just don’t care enough to slog through all of it.

    Widow's Bay

Yeah this is hilarious. Stephen Root always kills it.

    Crimson Desert

It literally took me a year and a half to finish The Witcher 3, obviously playing sporadically. The only thing that kept me going was a reasonably interesting main story, and even the side quests were pretty engaging. The combat was pretty brain-dead, though.. I just heavy attacked my way to...

It's not like that. It's not that I'm "hurt" or emotionally damaged. I just prefer my own company... lone wolf and all that.

    Dating

Something I need to realize is most people are (very) different from me. Last relationship I had was over 20 years ago and quite frankly have zero desire to look for or be with anyone at this stage. I recognize later in life might become rough, but the sacrifice I'd make inviting someone into my...

Yeah, you're right, my apologies.. Just had triggering visions of the typical needy individual that HAS to be with someone constantly.

Another great thing about AI is that I don’t need to know Git gymnastics. I can just tell an agent, “go cherry-pick those commits from So-and-So on Such-and-Such branch into this one,” and poof it’s done.

Yeah, don't put that on your resume. You can be creative in your experiences without outright lying.

I just started this about 3 weeks ago: https://www.emergeweight.com/ Injectable, but totally painless, and stupid easy to get the prescription. I'm not a lard ass at all, just beginning to get the "middle age spread" despite a regular workout regimen. Weight has been slowly creeping up over...

Popping back into this thread instantly reminded me why dating isn’t worth the effort. Good grief. You’ve only been divorced for a year. Why are you already rushing to date someone new? Take some time to enjoy being on your own first.

    The Captive's War

Honestly, I had trouble getting through the Expanse novels (audiobooks). I picked up where the TV series left off. The narrator (Jefferson Mays) was fantastic and I did enjoy them, but I could only listen for a half hour or so before dozing off. Took me quite some time to finish them all.

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Disagree. First season was "okay", the rest are garbage. Also, sets are being auctioned off. So Kurtzman Trek is finally done.

I would've loved to see a DLC centered around fixing Karlach's engine. It's hinted at during the reunion camp, but it would've been great to see the full resolution.

I didn't notice the increase cost, but I guess that explains the rarity bump. You can knock Minthara out, then she'll be available at Moonrise to recruit.

    MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Just picked up MOUSE: P.I. for Hire and honestly having a blast with it. The core game-play is classic run-and-gun "boomer shooter" stuff. Pretty basic movement and shooting, nothing revolutionary there. But damn, the art style and animations are absolutely top-tier. The game looks hand-drawn...

I used to bring in the halfling hireling and make her my pickpocketer. But after a while it just got old and I simply wanted the items. The bag exploit may only work with controllers...never tried it with kb&m. But what you do is put gold in a bag. Sell the bag to a vendor. On the vendor's...

Another easy way is to shoot an arrow of darkness around the door. Lock pick it, take the loot then immediately go to camp.
