No, Alex was correcting the point that the Chiefs finishing 14-3 by virtue of their week 18 win means that if the Bengals had beaten the Bills, both Buffalo and Cincy would have finished 13-4, leaving the Chiefs as the #1 seed.

Agreed, but it was a pretty unprecedented situation. There's no perfect solution to it other than somehow playing the game, but that would likely push start of playoffs back, give everyone else and extra week off or something. It'll just likely be a talking point for some fan base after the fact.
