Those on servers that were restarted after the maintenance (around 1pm CET) seem to be fine.

Jump on every single mission that rewards GR. I get two or three a day for 30-35 resources, which is a lot better than waiting for the 1/10mn timer.

The only reason to go to Frostfire Ridge as Alliance is to grab Dagg for your garrison. Although I assume you can also try to kill the rares there for additional Garrison Resources. (of course, if you're on a PvP server... well, tough for you)

Well, they did implement reverse instancing, in which all kind of people from various servers end up on the same zone. Which isn't going to be an issue in Draenor. Even non high pop servers are going to get pretty crowded.
