Don't worry, once 1.7 hits and you P2W for Mythic cannons, you'll be able to 2-4 shot anything on the ocean. =)

Yeah, the LS isn't terribly active but I'm usually always online at nights so if anyone ever has any questions about anything or needs someone to run harder content with them, you can say something in the LS and I'll usually see it.

Nehrak's link is old, it has since been stated that the 3.0 relic quest will be separate from the Zodiac quest line. The quotes you see saying "Zodiac weapons won't be useless" translates to "you can use them for leveling."

The 2.0 relic isn't going to have any influence whatsoever on the 3.0 equivalent.

My guess is that level 60 vendor gear will most likely completely outclass any level 50 raid gear.

Just transfer one of your existing characters over. You can do it at any time (except during maintenance).

It does when you're level 31 and too busy out DPSing the DPS classes to be bothered to heal. =P I only ever use them on progression content when I know that we're wiping due to enrage. I never use them on farm content, except on T12 when pushing four bennus.

Unlike fishing out in the open ocean, the Mirage Isle fishing contest is completely random. You can land a huge fish with zero skil.

Do NOT make a new character or account! You can level alternate jobs twice as fast as long as you have one job at level 50, and that's not even including the time you'd have to spend with all of those awful pizza delivery man quests on a new character that has to do all of the Main Story Quests.

Right now, all DPS are more or less equally desirable and class balance between them is VERY good. For endgame content, parties generally consist of 4 DPS, and the 4 DPS will be one BRD, one BLM/SMN, and any two of MNK/NIN/DRG.

From what my guildmates have been telling me, endgame Weaponmasters use 3-4 weapons. Of those, the Short Sword is the most important one, then comes Lightsabre/Katana, then Zanbato. All of a Weaponmaster's skills scale with STR so you're probably thinking of Soul Bender or Asura.
