You make a good point, it seems many things won't be able to go back to the way they were.

That makes total sense, but do you believe that method will sustain a large enough player base to be competitive?

I can answer from my perspective (Using Eq2 as example) I zone into a Vesspyr Isle and need to get across the zone. I skip all the USELESS trash mobs that have zero chance to drop anything or serve any purpose whatsoever. If trash mobs had some value, then I could see the point, but why...

I understand that argument, I just did not understand the difference between portals, opening gates, etc vs. flying mounts in old zones when it comes to immersion and making the world relevant with old content.

What about 2 years down the line and having to re run grey zones to get somewhere? Would you agree flying mounts remove that headache?

I will concede that "Blink" is one of the best episodes...but they tend to use the weeping angels too many times later down the line. (Diminishing their coolness IMO)

Playing Eq2 since launch I agree about Kunark. (My favorite expac) Being biased, I enjoy Eq2 combat system...although it can be cluttered at times and confusing. I think the HO system was a good idea in principal, but never really worked well.

Fixed number, but with a range of possibilities. (Skill comes in the setup and execution)

Is there a target demographic this game is looking at? 25-45 age 15-25 hours playtime per week? etc?
