I don't think the original had that many weapons either. Leon had the handgun, magnum, shotgun, flamethrower Claire had the handgun, crossbow, spark shot, grenade launcher I think they both could get the machine gun...or at least one could, if you took it for Claire, Leon couldn't etc.

Grenade launcher is way OP. I don’t even flinch at lickers.

The shotgun feels pretty weaksauce to me. I don’t seem to be able to get consistent head pops with it and lickers just laugh at me when I shoot them. Thank god they don’t follow you through rooms.

Yea lickers are bullshit. Beat Leon A in normal in 5 hours with a B. Pretty sure I can get under 4 easily, I did a lot of backtracking and sight seeing. Apparently I missed a gun for Leon? Matilda, shotgun, flamethrower, dessert eagle...but game said I missed one :(

I think the "twist" would've been ok (not great), if they'd cut the 10 or so minutes of exposition at the end explaining it.

So, I've played a few hours and I have to say I begrudgingly like it. Way more destruction than previous games and the gun play feels solid. It's somewhere near badco2 and bf3, but not quite as good. It's def a step in the right direction though. No idea why they decided to advertise this as...

Just to throw my anecdotal evidence in there, but that trailer definitely put me off from buying the game, and I normally buy every single one. I only have a copy because I went to meet @Butthurt for dinner and he was like "surprise asshole! now you have to play!" and he gave me a copy...

I'd donate a few bucks to get a little trophy made for his survivors, but it might be taken the wrong way.
