and they were built to handle it by stealing games on turn 3 with great hands, all they need to do is get a little lucky to steal the turny but oko will likely buttfuck that plan
i've played a good bit of ken's knight deck, it's pretty insane and even if it falls behind has a decent chance of just stealing the game with embercleave
tiggles already said, it won't get banned until much closer to rotation (if at all)
hopefully no fotd opens up some decks we're not even thinking about, we'll see
they should probably just kneecap some of the ramp tools because if you remove fotd from bant golos the meta is going to be unhealthily dominated by bant ramp
Just way toooo much ramp in the meta right now, it's completely ridiculous
goose is fair on the surface but if you think about it it's insane
it ramps you when it's most important (giving you 50% more mana on turn 2), it assfucks agro x 2 (toughness and life via food, agro cannot exist this meta) and it interacts with all the other food cards in the format.
I'd...
ya the more I think about it (and by think about it I mean listening and thinking about the rant crokeyz is going on right now), route, grazer, goose, elf (gone now but still) are such fucked up cards
I know control does counter ramp but still
it's really an interesting dilemma because fotd is a pretty cool card but they just have almost no ways to interact with lands so wtf anyone suppose to do. They needed to introduce interaction (or ban), which it's obvious the choice they made at this point. If they do some shit like banning...
oko + tef and/or nissa + insane ramp cards
golos + fields + tef + insane ramp cards
I'm not sure what I expected
Like I said earlier there are some adventure decks that can do well against both of em though, so I think we're moving into a top 3 meta. Hopefully some autists figures something...
bant ramp and golos ramp are everywhere.
golgari adventure often beats both of em though if you guys want a tip :)
I had some hope for fires but I just don't think it's going to cut it, far to reliant on the card and so easy to just adjust sideboards accordingly if it ever starts showing up...
