yeah Timless isle is really all you need. You should be in the 490's very quickly and one run through ToT should get you to where you can queue for SoO. Also, download the mod oQueue and you can get into cross realm Celestial and Nalak groups for an easy extra shot at loot.

The timeless isle stuff is basically for the purpose of getting a brand new 90 into the newest LFR without doing heroics and all the other stuff. It will all be replaced with gear from the SoO LFR or valor / TI Coin gear if you plan on playing the toon any significant amount.

I seem to remember them saying they wanted to put a focus back on 25 man as the traditional progression guild raid size. It's likely that they may do away with 10's completely in favor of flex and keep 25 as the "normal/heroic" raid.

It seems like they could just do a divide by ten type of thing for the presentation layer... but I'm no programmer so that might be all kinds of retarded performance wise. It would be nice to not be ilvl 750 and aiming for 400kdps next expansion though.
