Yeah autodraft in auction leagues is pretty bad even with the adjusting values, but that's a lot better than just leaving everything default.

Just watched both seasons over the last couple of weeks. I had pretty low expectations and it turned out to be pretty damn good. Tommy is awesome. Looking forward to season 3.

Swiftspear into Seeker into Stone Rain. On the play that would be pretty gross. A playable LD card, like Fulminator Mage or something would be pretty interesting. Stone Rain brings back some memories. First PTQ I had ever won was U/W counterpost splashing Stone Rains in Ice Age block...

Lightning Bolt is a stronger card than Counterspell. As is Thoughtseize. That's the whole point. If you had both Bolt and Counterspell in Standard right now I promise you Bolt would be played far more than Counterspell would.

Adding Counterspell to Standard would not stop everyone from playing creatures. It would obviously see play, but it wouldn't be the best card in Standard and has rarely ever been the actual best card in Standard. How is Counterspell too strong and Thoughtseize or Lightning Bolt not?

Blue has been fine, it just hasn't been traditional counterspell heavy decks.

I think any format with no countermagic can be dangerous since it's one of the main ways to keep degenerate things in check. Unless you mean specifically the card Counterspell this time. If you mean the card then I can understand that idea, though if you put it in a 2nd set it would only be in...

Legacy would literally be a bunch of fast combo decks without counters. How interactive is it when you get to look at your 7 cards and die before you get a turn?

I will always remember winning a lot of Magic matches back in the 90s by Mana Draining something then Mind Twisting their entire hand. Good times. I miss playing those old YMG and Gray Matter 1k events every month or so.
