Actually, I'd beg to differ. There are kids that have access to fairly well paying jobs that are designed for the current school year. It's a lot harder to make money in smaller blocks of time, as it is harder for employers to create useful jobs to suit those times.

Beer can chicken update: effing delicious. Served with a salad of young greens with craisins, home made croutons, and goat cheese. Mild apple vinaigrette to top if you're in the mood.

If you want to keep it really simple, you could just get a good impulse sprinkler, and put it at about centre on a raised platform. Put it 3 feet up, and you'd get the whole garden with that. Easy to put on a timer, cheap to do, and will get everything watered.
