You can grind HR30 tempered and still have a chance at Sullied gemstones (warriors), its only the HR50 tempereds that drop the Hero gemstones.

It only works on weapons where the Element is locked (greyed out in parentheses), or has no Element at all.

I find the extra gem slots allows me to use all the Skills I want for the crit element build.

Not going for Daora's Bow? The extra gem slots make it pretty versatile, its my go-to ice bow.

Normal xbox 1 to ps4. The xbox is only at 864p while the ps4 is 1080p, just a nice visual upgrade.

I made a 3-piece Kirin set and went on a capture spree of hr13 tempereds (mostly Bharroth), got 6 wyvern gems from 5 hunts. Have all my armor sets augmented now, but only one weapon so far. Getting the correct stone is going to take awhile since I use so many different Bows.

It seems ALL my Bows (only missing 2) have an Elemental Dmg cap, regardless of how many gems I might have used. Like Doom Shaft is capped at 200 Dragon dmg by using only 2 gems, using 3+ has no effect. None of my Bows were able to take advantage of 5 gems, and only two were able to be buffed by...

I am beginning to think that mobs have a skill awareness attribute for certain player skills. There have been countless times when I begin to use Dragon Piercer and the mob instantly turns and charges me. So. Fucking. Annoying. All Mantles done, time to focus on augmenting gear.

His worst attack, for a ranged class, is when he shoots a Blast cloud behind you, then flame breath... almost instant death. Mushroomancer is the shit. Eating shrooms works with Wide Range too.

Seems to be no relation between HR and gem quality, at HR62 I still mainly get r4-5 gems. You do start to get better stuff from Tempered monsters, mostly from the 2* and 3*.

There are a couple ways up there, if you do the running attack you can keep going up the wall (seen others do this a lot). Other way is to use the Slinger Latch, aim sorta near those glowy bug things hanging down from rock pillars, then press B; you'll fly across.

Getting Tempered investigations seems to be a pain in the ass.

Take flashbugs with you on hunts so you can make more pods as you need to during combat (one at a time, but it helps).

Got a couple interesting gems from the Triple Threat event which allow me to use Poison and/or Blast Coatings on Bows without them.

Finally got the last optional quest I needed to complete them all, which opened up a crazy special arena quest. Winning that quest opens up the Commisoner armor set that allows an extra Carve (4-piece bonus). Male armor looks like the Commanders armor, and Female armor looks like the Handler.

You can right click on any of the Gatherables icon on the map and the scoutflies will lead to that item, not sure if Lump of Meat is such an item though.

Capture Tobi a lot, should get them.

I'm guessing I am just kinda farm behind. I'm at HR59, still no Augment option, and the newest Mantle I've recieved was the Immunity Mantle. Is there Xbox maintainence as well?

Been trying to unlock the Augments and get the Rocksteady Mantle today by doing all the Optional quests I have in my log, but still nothing has popped. I've seen a few Optional quests which I've complete have a flashing exclamation point next to them, anyone know what that means (it goes away...

Probably not, at least for Bows. There is only 1 bow that gives Blast dmg for free, and its not that good + is a pain to get. The other two blast bows would require you get lvl3 Free Element, which means giving something else up, so not worth.

I wonder if there is a bug with Daora's Sagittarii bow, using +4 Ice Attack, sheet dmg shows its ice element dmg only increased to 310, it should be 352. Using the same +4 ice attack on Legiana's Bow results in the proper increase, 390 to 510. That Daora bow should be clearly better: 204 atk...

Anyone else playing on Xbox 1? I've started having intense sound distortion in fights with more than 1 monster, started happening in Ancient Forest, now it happens everywhere. Its really, really bad.

If you want to do it manually, just use your Capture Net to smack them, you'll get Horns to drop all the time.

I feel your pain, I am working on getting all the rank 8 weapons, or max'd out tree's. Need quite a few basic gems like Wyverns, and Elder gems.
