There's still a social aspect to the game if you join a guild. The real problem is you can do everything you want now without one. You can't be bleeding edge on mythics or whatever, but you can still complete all the raid content from orgrimmar. There's still a place for the hardcore, but...

Not like the alliance vs. horde stuff matters anymore anyways. They might as well give us all paintball guns and some helmets and PVP will just consist of long paintball matches. You can grind for guns with faster velocities and more paintballs. Maybe a camo helmet.
