Aeons End is amazing deckbuilder AND co-op. If you wanna try a good, but not highly known, competitive deck builder, check out Heart of Crown.

I like Sword and Sorcery myself. Rules are a bit simpler than the average Descent clone. But thats just me.

You might not be big on co-op but Aeons End Legacy is a great game for 2 (or more, scales well). Its not super easy where you will win every time. You have to use teamwork and smarts but if/when you win its great.

Game is amazing. Its hard too. But there is no real penalty for failing a mission, beyond personal frustration. Mechanics are very tight.

If you like worker placement, try Manhattan Project: Energy Empire. Its a step up from Lords of Waterdeep, but not where near as cumbersom as Agricola/Cavernia. I have heard good things about the new D&d/Gf9 giants game, but $80 is pretty steep. And I am still enjoying Lords of the Underdark...
