Love my Eastman as well. Bought an E6D a couple of years ago and it's fantastic. Balanced tone, stays in tune, beautiful guitar. It's not a D18, but it didn't cost $3000 either.

I've used Cakewalk for many years. Since Bandlab bought it from Gibson it's been free (though that's changing soon), and has remained full-featured.

To all the Big Wreck homies, 7.3 dropped on Friday. It's pretty excellent, as usual. This track in particular.

7.1 is damn good. I hope 7.2 and 7.3 are released in short order. Having just 5 new tunes is like playing 'just the tip'.

I've used Addictive Drums 2 for a long time. I wouldn't say I'm too deep into that ecosystem to switch, but I'm super used to it and it works well for me.

Speaking of knock-offs, I bought this from allinoneguitars.com a few months ago. I was bummed by the QC initially (a couple of cloudy inlays, the routing on the input jack is terrible, and the truss rod cover is just wrong), but this thing plays really well and sounds fantastic. No, you're not...

I know Derek Trucks is widely considered the slide guru, but Ian plays slide in a way I've never heard anyone play. And he's not even in love with slide.

From what I've heard, the Gramercy always turns out for BW and is a killer venue. I just need to do the same and go. I've seen Martin Sexton half a dozen times, the least I can do for my favorite band is see them more than once ;)
