My guess on what happened: dead guy was going to blackmail Hernandez on some drug thing. Hernandez has gang banger pals kill him. He tries to nuke evidence.

bro hiring for 390k on a 1 year deal is different than signing a guy to a 5 year deal with a 12.5m signing bonus.

if hernandez goes to prison, let's say starting tomorrow through his trial through his sentence. He still has Kraft's 12.5 mill.

I imagine a NFL contract probably has some clause where if you murder/rape/commit some other major felony, the owners can null the contract ;P Seems like a sensible thing, since many pro athlete contracts already have provisions that require said athlete not engage in certain activities.

i hope not.. he's only 23 and he'll need about 12.5 mill worth of smokes to barter his way out of danger in prison for the next 75 years.
