I'm amused how everyone in that organization is totally unsuited for their job.

Garrett is a cheerleader who gets to pretend to be a play caller. Jerry is a owner who gets to play GM. And Romo is a play caller who gets to pretend to be a quarterback.

What do you think the head coach job description is? Especially when you have a defensive coordinator calling defensive schemes and an offensive coordinator calling offensive plays. Garrett sucks at being an offensive coordinator. Most people will agree with you on that. A head coach does not have to be an offensive coordinator too.

There is a difference between a good coach and a cheerleader. Sean Payton, Bill Belichek, Harbaugh Brothers, are good coaches. You can count 1-2 wins per season that they don't win if they are not the coach.

Then you decent coaches, Coughlin, Tomlin, Mike Smith, Carrol. These are teams that wouldn't probably be effected either way if they lost their coach. Wouldn't change much.

Then you have coaches like Garret, Andy Reid, Norv Turner, Jeff Fisher, whose teams would probably be 1 or 2 wins more if they had a different coach. Once you accept that those coaches(notice most of them have long careers, because they do JuST enough to keep a job, or those 1 or 2 games don't mean much in the grand scheme of things) exist, you will understand the difference between a cheerleader and a coach.

The problem Garret has, is he doesn't have that same Pedigree as those other coaches(multiple division titles, conference/nfl championship appearances, etc. He is one or two games away from making headway into the playoffs, problem is, that's those 1-2 games he costs you!

I think if you take the playcalling away from Jason you get a better coach. He's really the right kind of detail oriented person you want at the helm but like any detail oriented person you need to keep the focus narrow in order to get the most of out it. And say everything you want about his game management skills (I certainly have), the reality is that he somehow managed to coax better than average performances out of a bunch of guys coming off their couch last year. And with the exception of a small handful of quality players, he inherited a mess of a team that needed at least a mild rebuilding effort, especially in terms of the attitude in the locker room.

Jerry has hitched his fate to that of Garrett and Romo, for better or for worse. I don't think you'll see a change at either position for at least two to three years. I still vaguely hold out hope that Romo will get injured in 2014, the team tanks, and with the first pick of the 2015 draft the Dallas Cowboys select Johnny Manziel, Quarterback, Texas A&M University.

There is no way the Rams are 1-2 wins better without Fisher. He's already turning this train wreck around. Gotta say ditto with Carol, the Seahawks have become a force in a short amount of time with Carol at the helm. Also, Coughlin? What's a guy have to do to earn a little respect around here, win a Superbowl or 2?

Actually, I wish we could go back to 2005 and pick Rodgers instead of Marcus Spears but it is what it is.

There's a lot of 'ifs' going on right now but I think one thing is for certain. We're stuck with Garromo for at least 2 years, if not 3.

Harbaugh east has done some pretty fucking stupid shit over the years himself. Time outs in particular, he's single handedly helped us lose a game or two at least with shit clock management. He's pretty boneheaded at challenges sometimes still too. I always blame the fact that he came from the Andy Reid coaching tree when that stuff happens.

Romo has 28 more games played than Cutler, Cutler has 9 more career INT's than Romo. Also you realize Cutler has thrown 5 picks in a game as well right? Romo is better than Cutler with ease and your inability to recognize it is Merlin levels of willful ignorance.

Just pointing out an odd thing, how come Romo gets credit for 6 GP in '04 and 16 GP in '05 but with absolutely zero passing stats for either season? Is that just credit as the holder for FG's/XP's? Would still be 6 more games played for Romo as an actual QB with 9 less picks...just weird.

Still trying to like this Jarvis Jones pick.

Not working so far. Seems like a good kid but people make a big deal out of the "SEC sack leader" shit like it has any bearing on the NFL. Maybe Im missing something, but he is slow and wont ever be able to cover like our LBs are expected to do running a fucking 4.9.
