Sure but like I mentioned, the Patriots were 3 missed Vinateri (spelling?) FG's from being bigger failures than the Bills.

Peyton Manning isnt a choke artist in the playoffs. The problem was his shitty defenses and no running game. That year he won it all he stunned the Pats in the championship game, engineering a huge comeback with everything on the line and won a title. The other years the Colts flamed out it was due to their shitty defense or not being able to posses the ball long enough to ice games. The guy is still one of the greatest QB's of all time he just doesnt have the playoff chops to really get him into THE guy discussion.
Did he make some fucked up decisions at certain points in the game that costed his team (like the pick he threw in OT)? Yes. But to say he cant win in the playoffs is kind of stupid considering he did win a title. Steve Young won a super bowl but got eliminated in plenty of other playoff campaigns. Is he a playoff choke artist?
Elway was a playoff choker himself until 97-98. Its hard to win playoff games consistently in the NFL. Brady started his career 10-0 in the playoffs for christ sakes, and even he has lost 6 or 7 times in the playoffs.

That argument is crap. Manning has a playoff QB rating around 7.4 points lower than his career average. Guess who else has a playoff rating that is 7.5 points lower than their career regular season rating? Tom Brady.
Of course almost everyones rating is likely going to be lower in the playoffs over a large sample size. You are playing better teams. Manning and Brady have very similar playoff stats over the course of their careers, but because Brady got his Super Bowls early, the narrative became that he was a clutch player and Manning was not. The truth is they are virtually the same QB in the playoffs.

Brady and Manning are not the same player in the postseason. Give me a break. Brady has won more postseason games than any QB in history. Manning is 8 playoff wins behind with around the same amount of appearances.
Brady could have easily had 5 SuperBowls if it werent for a couple of miracle plays. The guy wins in the playoffs and is far superior to Manning when it comes to elimination games.

Yeah when the stats dont back up your argument, just turn to win-loss record, because of course the quarterback is responsible for how their defense plays or how their kicker plays, or how a safety makes one of the worst coverage mistakes in playoff history this past week. People make up their mind early about someone, look at who has the most Super Bowls or most wins and try to make the stats fit their pre-conceived notions on who is "clutch". The fact is that the stats do not lie. You can only judge a quarterback by their play and not their team's results. The QB stats say Brady and Manning are really close, everything else is people trying to judge an individual based on a team's success or failure.
All you really have to do is look at the points scored in the games the Colts lost with Manning. 16, 17, 0, 14, 3, 18, 24, 17, 17, 16. Besides the one time they scored 24 points, none of those other scores are gonna win many games.

When you look at the "elite" QB's of the last 5-10 years, taking Eli Manning, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning specifically...their career playoff passer ratings are as follows: 89.3, 89.1, 88.4.
Not exactly a lot of gap between them. Peyton's first 3 years in the playoffs were with teams that weren't exactly contenders, starting him off 0-3. Since Brady's sick run of starting 10-0 in his playoff career (including 3 titles), he's a more average 7-6.
I think there are a lot of factors that go into overall playoff records...and while the QB has a great amount of control on it, it's not always the end all be all stat. Some QB's don't get enough credit for their play even with a .500 or below record, and there's a few who get far more credit than they have deserved for a winning record in the playoffs as well.
