That was a really frustrating game to watch. The Canes were dominating that game through the 2nd period and then get sloppy in the third. Dumbass mistakes and bullshit officiating and the game flips in a minute. The Staal penalty which led to the tying goal was such a bad penalty, he should know better too. The two Dougie Hamilton penalties were ridiculous though. Even beyond the penalties though, I just had a feeling that at the end of the 2nd we should of been up 2 or 3 goals and it was going to bite them in the end. Credit to Rask for keeping it a 1 goal game.

Reffing calls were painfully atrocious in the first game, slightly reminiscent of the stench of bias in the first or second Leafs game in Boston in R1. I like Chara but fuck Boston, go Canes now. I like Canes coach and their chances with how they played last night, provided their coach doesnt have a stroke from the stress.

So I dont know if you guys realised this, but Boston's big four teams all went to the playoff this year. Red Sox and Pats won. Thankfully the Celtics just got eliminated, so they cant complete the "Grand Slam" of winning all four. However, that alone makes me hope for Boston to lose. Any of the other teams left would be just fine by me.

Ok...Boston gets what, at least a week to rest before SJ and SL are done? I personally don't like that, but I guess the old men can use the rest. Rask is my biggest worry. Who the fuck knows what you get from him after a weeks rest. Though I gotta admit, he's playing great as of now.

That call is why I have a hard time rooting for SJ. On the other hand, I think they have the best chance of beating Boston and would be a better SCF to boot. If the blues win I probably wont bother tuning in until an elimination game. I'm kind of already over these playoffs anyway at this point.
