backup is the BEST job in the fucking world.,..until the "star" gets injured.

look at the patriot backups since brady came on.

brady hurt- backup-castle(or however you spell his name) becomes starter, does decent- gets huge contract (fails to justify contract) but worked out.
jimmy G- brady backup for 3? years gets suspended - jimmy g starts a few games- looks great...gets traded- looks great- gets massive contract from 49ers.
hoyer- twice- got decent contracts after leaving pats- is a decent qb....
brisset- got traded to colts-started was bad/ok

others

Foles- eagles backup- starter gets hurt- foles leads them to a SB
stays @eagles next year- starter - does bad, benched, starter gets hurt, does good
gets massive contract to start elsewhere
other than that he has been an average QB.

Yea I just assumed he was retiring or something.....2018 he had 43 tackles in 16 games started with 3.5 sacks.....dudes like backup quality now

Shouldn't that be 5.5 or 6.5 sacks when you consider the terrible PF calls for roughing the passer?
