The fact that he was most likely being attended by a doctor and not just EMTs probably changes things a bit, but I still cannot imagine any doctor saying 'yeah lets wait 10-15 minutes to give the family a ride'.

Yeah, they should cancel the game tonight, release the players to go to the hospital and be with the family. If by some miracle he is stable, they can just continue tomorrow. It wouldn't be that big of a deal.

I think I'm with Gavin. Even if I'm stable and conscious, I'm not waiting 20 minutes for my mom to come jump in the ambulance. Get me to the hospital as fast as possible.

Rule 17-1-4

The NFL affirms the position that in most circumstances all regular-season and postseason games should be played to their conclusion. [...] If, in the Commissioner’s opinion, it is reasonable to project that the resumption of an interrupted game would not change its ultimate result or adversely affect any other inter-team competitive issue, he is empowered to terminate the game.

The commissioner has the power to cancel the game. It will affect seeding if both of them only have 16 games on record, but they're both in the postseason already. I can't imagine the players worrying about seeding at this point.

Which is stupid cause you can push to tomorrow and make as much if not more by playing tomorrow

yeah there has to be some kind of provision for resuming play at a different time. continuing this game tonight after that bad of a scare never should have even been considered.

That had to be something outside the hit? I saw it, and honestly the only thing that looked bad was him hitting his head/face into the ground while tackling the guy, and then hitting his head again after collapsing. Some kind of brain aneurysm or blood clot?

So they're cancelling it and not just postponing it.

Any sportsbooks giving a line on Damar's survival?

I mean we have no idea what potential condition he might have had, or how the hit specifically happened that could cause something like that. Plus the scary falling backwards and hitting his head. It's just tough to speculate on exactly what all is wrong.
