Can't say I'm too surprised or too upset about this. Whether it's the scheme or just him, he hasn't been the same the last couple years and I don't think he's going to be. He's a big, tough guy who is great with the ball in his hands but he doesn't get separation down the field and his reps as a running back have been mostly ineffective. If they were able to trade him and pick up Adams that would be a major upgrade but even if they just have to roll with Aiyuk, Jennings, and Pearsall I think they will be fine and they could use the cap space to sign Purdy or go after a corner or DL in free agency.

Yeah, agree with you. Deebo is an amazing player...at times. Unfortunately those times just haven't been very often anymore. He is great with the ball in his hands, but frankly isn't a great pure WR. He can take over a game when things go right, and is a true game changer when that happens. I think his peak is already past though, and at best the 49ers are going to be on the hook for like 10m per year for the next 2 years.

Honestly not sure how much they will even get for him in a trade.
