Even if he does, that family has plenty of power to keep him from playing for the Browns.

ok I'm confused, there is another Manning in football? I don't watch college football btw.
arch manning plays for U of Texas. I thought he was a sophomore though, so that shows how much I'm paying attention.

I only know it because one of my friend's kids is playing for Texas and roomed with arch their freshman year.

Edit to add, not going to google, but his grandpa is archie. I don't know who his dad is.

He is a redshirt sophomore.

He will likely play for 2 years and then go pro. It isn’t about draft position, it’s about him being ready for the pros. Getting a certain number of starts in college evidently greatly increases odds of NFL success for Qbs.

His dad is Cooper, he quit playing football in college due to some nerve damage in his back or something like that

Most realistic observers don't think Arch will declare for at least another (probably two) seasons.

The 'most' plausible scenario I've heard is that when the Saints get the #1 pick, Arch will think it's destiny he could play for the city where his grandfather played and where his dad / uncles grew up, and declare early. Again, that's the 'most' plausible scenario for how he gets into the next draft.

I fully expect both of them to start games this year (hell, probably a third QB as well), but this has to be considered significant proof that the Colts are done with Richardson long term.

Oh, so he already knows he's going #1 in whatever year he decides to go pro?
