Mofo been out of the game twice as long as Rivers, gtfo of here Shannon.

And he wasn't a good quarterback when he was playing. There was about a season and a half where he was electrifying but once the defenses figured out how to defend a running quarterback he was mediocre to bad. Shannon Sharpe is just going for some controversy I think.

That worked 5 years ago but it is definitely not working anymore. I think he really needs money.Kaepernick could've found a team if he really wanted to. He may be bad but he's a much better option than some of the trash cans we've had starting and/or as backups in the league since he has been gone. He's not serious about playing football. He just wants to keep this "I'm oppressed" narrative running for sponsorship deals, activism deals, etc.

Yup. His resume was definitely good enough to be at least a backup on many teams, even when the falloff happened after the 2013 season. Would it have been a little difficult in 2017 with all the political fallout and the fact that Trump was president? Sure. But if he was serious about actually playing and not just pretending, he definitely could've found a team by 2018 or 2019, no doubt.Yeah I get the sense any of the "talks" or "workouts" he did was just for show on his end. Keep his name out there.
