Drake maye is my boy. Bout time something good happened for Boston sports again...

This is pretty damn crazy. At least one fantastic scouting unit at GB. Also crazy that the Lions have the second fewest QBs. Minnesota not keeping Darnold will make sure they add to the list.
So what you are saying is if Greenbay gets a new stadium, the owner will pay for it with 100% taxpayer money?? Sweet deal!!!I thought something along the same lines myself last night. It was more of 'wow look a real farm team approach to QB's at Green Bay'.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the town owning the team in lieu of private owners who are looking for immediate gains so they can sell more merch and pester the town for that all important shiny new stadium (that they want the taxpayers to pay for).

Such good scouts that Green Bay aren't even the ones who drafted Favre in the first place? Scouting is nothing but a bunch of voodoo bullshit, those motherfuckers don't have the foggiest fucking clue who is going to make it at the pro level and who isn't. Favre was drafted by the Falcons and went 0-4 with two picks in his rookie season. The dude responsible for Green Bay picking him up was their brand new GM who had been with the Jets the previous season where he'd originally wanted Favre but the Jets didn't have their first round pick in 91.At least one fantastic scouting unit at GB. I browsed through several years of their first picks in a draft and the best thing that I can say about what I saw was the lack of any high profile draft busts (unless I missed an important year, I looked from like 2005 to 2020 or thereabouts). There's an occasional pro bowler who puts in several seasons with the team, a few injury busts, but mostly a bunch of people who were released or let go after their rookie contract.
Also Stafford is probably responsible for keeping at least 6-7 more names off that Detroit column.
Really easy to criticize the Trubisky pick with the benefit of hindsight but I don't think it looks that bad in 2017. The Tua pick looks bad even back in 2020. Kinda funny that this conversation started about the packers QBs and the pick that was used on Love that year was originally Miami's.Good points but Ron Wolf was one hell of a GM and knew what he wanted in Brett Favre. Ozzie Newsome was one hell of a GM who knew player talent. It's not all guessing but a lot of it is later in the draft. Ron Wolf drafted Mark Brunell and Matt Hasselbeck so the dude knew QB talent.
Smart GMs don't draft Trubinskis first overall. There's a 'do and don't' list that obviously works and the further you go away from those 'rules' the quicker you find trouble. It's not science, and most decisions are harder than don't pick the short, injury prone QB from Bama #5, but there are lots of ways to not mess up. GMs are arrogant and stupid like all kinds of other people though.
Good point about Stafford. I'm glad he got his ring for all that trouble.

I can't this year, I was iffy on the Raiders but my Gamecocks have let me down, sigh.... Crra!
