Haven't heard a single good thing about this movie word of mouth wise.
I see the Audience RT score sitting near 60% vs critics 88%
which normally means it's a massive pile of shit. Normally for a good/decent movie, the audience rating will sit higher near mid 70's at least. The fact it fell to 60% is a huge red flag for me. From the reviews here, it sounds like this movie is disrespectful to Boyle's earlier installments. People saying the director/writer are unrecognizable in this one. That's a no-go for me.
It's out now though if anyone wants to chance it and report back. But seems like the verdict is already in.

It really is a shame. I haven't seen it yet, and I'll probably stream it at some point just to see, but I'll probably come out being pissed.

I am hoping that Tron Ares does not suffer the same fate this movie apparently has. I loved 28 days later and thought 28 weeks later was good enough. Sucks hearing that this movie is ass compared to the other two.

I didn't want to trust your review at all, but holy fuck this was bad. I watched the first 2 last month to get hyped for this one, but all that ended up doing was made it clear as day this had no business being associated w/ the franchise.

Yea cause in this world Jimmy Seville was never outed as a pedo and kids that grew up in the nightmare had nostalgia for him since he was a popular Pop music DJ.
