Portland Police said:
Officers will be reviewing pictures and video of the demonstration in an effort to identify other criminal suspects and additional arrests are possible.

The demonstrations lasted from approximately 2:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

As with all demonstrations and marches, the Police Bureau's goal is to ensure a safe, secure and orderly event for community members and to minimize disruptions to traffic.

It should be clear that "free speech events" do not require a permit; but, marches or demonstrations occurring in public streets that restrict movement of other community members do require a permit issued by the City of Portland to allow for the safety of all. No permits were issued for today's events.

So, the gist I get from all those pics is that a bunch of little bitches who are far too pretentious to ever actually work at McDonalds would rather their McDonalds orders be taken and prepared by kiosks and robots? Yeah they always like to target McDonalds. As if that brand is the pinnacle of evil, out of control corporate greed.

A place that sells burger meals, that aren't too expensive. And employ teenagers and college students.

It just shows how limited these protester's vision is.

The whole $15/hour argument is because McDonald's doesn't employ them anymore. They are employing losers who think McDonald's should be a career.

McDonald's is fucking stupid for promoting this idea though. When you look at the job promo's at a McDonald's for some reason they keep mentioning "career". If they said, "earn some extra cash to pay for your college" or "get some money for your weekend out with friends" they'd probably start losing the loser 26+ year olds who think it's a career. Just out of embarrassment (hopefully).

Actually I just had a thought guys.

Mcdonald's is evil, it along with other companies were able to start a mass distribution of low cost food stuffs, food stuffs that the impoverished could afford.

The impoverished had children, who grew up to be worthless and unnecessary, and now they don't know what to do with themselves so they protest their own existence.


Actually who's kidding who, these fuck ups probably grew up middle class, they protest as a fashion statement.

Or maybe they're protesting the use of prison labor on an industrial scale, and that McDonalds buys products from there. Same reason you saw pics of protestors in the AT&T store: Prisoners working to replace call center employees.

IDGAF personally and I think these protestors are blowing it way out of proportion, but all you have to do is read the signs in some of those pics, LOL.

To be fair... You absolutely CAN turn McDonald's in to a career, just like any other corporation. You do this by doing shit right and moving up the ladder (and yes, you can move up the ladder in fast food restaurants and actually end up making a respectable living). The problem is, these dumb fucks all want to get high during work and fuck around and not take it seriously, then wonder why they don't get raises or promotions. A general manager at a McDonalds is probably pulling 40-60k depending on location, possibly more in some of the crazier areas (where all the wages are jacked up). Area managers/regional managers/etc take it a lot higher.

Sure, it might not be 100k+ a year at 22 years old but lets be real, not too many people are pulling those kind of jobs for a multitude of reasons.


The funniest thing to me tho is all the "protesters" who think they're so tough/cool/making a stand run around covering their face with whatever they can so nobody can identify them (aka they're pussies). If you really believe in something then why the fuck are you terrified that someone will find out about it.
