I like all the small folk just generally being assholes. The young lady of Ashford calling him big and stupid. The horseboy asking him Baelor. Even the sheep shouter before the joust was great. Feels almost like something that would happen at a modern show/sporting even though.

Substantially. It actually has a pair of characters you care about and like and they do something called "acting" really well. Its fun watching how a "regular" schmoe would be treated in fantasy land. Everyone poor is an asshole that has been trodden on because yea noone would be in a good mood unless drunk, and poor Dunk just has to eat shit because the Lords just DO NOT CARE about individual common folk.
So yes there is a scene where the GoT music starts and gets cut off by someone shitting, or someone wanted to show off their monster hog, but its done in a way that feels authentic cause Westeros sucks to live in. Its always sucked we just got to see it from the vantage of a castle before. Oh here is someone who believes in Truth, Justice and the Westeros way? Go sleep in a ditch peasant.

It's very different than either GoT or HotD. Maybe we're going to get into world politics at some point but in the first two episodes the stakes couldn't be much lower. It's just about one broke dude and a scrawny orphan kid who's following him around.
BTW, do we know why the kid has no hair?

The writing that follows the book is good. But there is lots of man man ass and man dong and little or no female nudity.
This leads me to believe this show is run by faggots or lesbians and once the book stories are gone its going to fly off the reservation into lots of girl bosses and homosex just like HOTD did in season 2.
