Is this from the same guy who did the Good Place? I watch that show with my wife and it was actually pretty funny. That sounds like something he would maybe do.

I know I could have looked it up but I figured one of you guys would answer. I guess I was right though. I'm sure this will be something my wife will want to watch and maybe I'll watch it with her.
I caught a synopsis on it at IMDB or someplace a few days ago. Could be interesting. Also depressing as shit. Cheers was such a great show, now he's playing geezers.

My parents always used to watch Cheers when I was a kid. I may not have understood all of the jokes but I enjoyed it, I've never seen reruns when I was older I could see why they always watched it. I guess that's why I'm when I watch the good place I was pleasantly surprised.

I don't mind something light-hearted but I can see where it might be a little depressing dealing with the elderly. Lord knows most of us have probably gone through some stuff but their grandparents by this point or even their parents.

Crazy how Ted Danson keeps getting funnier the older he gets.

IMO, the best shows/movies some mix of both sides. My favorites do anyway.

We've been enjoying shows with old cranky men lately. We're almost done with Kominsky Method and Harrison Ford's character in Shrinking is great.

Think we've got 2 episodes of this left and have been enjoying it.

This show is surprisingly good, funny and depressing at the same time. I think they "nailed" the inevitability of death (and dementia) a little too well. Its a comedy that somehow upset me at certain points, I think because it's not overly dramatic. It just kind of portrays sad shit the way it actually tends to happen.

Its... uncomfortably relatable. But it's a good show.

Good show, don’t think I have ever seen one that is focused on old people retirement. Usually it is background for more info in a quick 2-5 minute scene, all done well and interesting. That place is probably like 7k a month. Gets heavy at the end and wraps up nicely.

Renewed for season 2 it looks like.
We really liked it. Mother-in-law said it was too depressing but she’s closer to the “get her in a home age.”
