Figured some of you D&D fans would love something like this.

I found this on a channel I watch that is AI generated stories of Presidents and other celebrities playing D&D and it's addicting as fuck.
The game is basically a world builder, story, characters, tracks stats, inventory, etcetera. Different genres for the story telling, fantasy, romance, horror, mix them all.
You can still interact with your characters even if you run out of tokens.

Here's the link to the game
AI Game Master

Use promo code: AIGUY20

That'll give you 20 free tokens and 20% off subscription if choose to do so.

(for those interested in more detail, go to the channel I linked below. Episode 100 at 44:30 starts the AD for this world builder app. I gave the time stamp so you don't spoil the story if you plan on watching all the episodes leading up to episode 100.)

Here's the channel I watch/listen to every Friday. I highly recommend it, this guy is fucking amazing with world and character building. He has no shortage of videos either. He has his main campaign (100th episode released today) it's fucking great stuff. "Tronald" is a Trump AI character and main character. Do yourself a favor and put the bullshit politics aside and just enjoy the story. It's got plenty of humor in it.

I mean nothing against you dude. But I'm whole heartedly against AI creating art and writings. That's the stuff humans want to do. AI should be doing chores.

Incorrect, AI should be doing all the creative stuff like grinding games and DMing DnD campaigns so that people can get back to doing chores like HVAC and mowing the lawn.

AI should be like a combo holodeck and DM.

Open world, generated by AI based on perameters (medieval fantasy, modern spy, etc) and as you interact AS YOU CHOOSE with the world and any NPC characters in it, the AI remembers, generates backstories which lead to quests, remembers your choices so it impacts future interactions and choices and is basically a DM in a truly open world.

It would make poopsocking great again.

Unfortunately LLMs have capacity issues doing this the easy way with single session context. I think it's possible to create this using some tricks. However the interface of game decisions going back into the narrative is the trick. Probably the "easiest" would be some sort of audio recording transcription that could be summarized and added into the training data.

Well that's why theme and setting are important because they can narrow down what I imagine would be near infinite parameters into something more manageable as a spy novel or a fantasy story have certain tropes that can help create a skeleton for the AI to work with but still give the player significant effect with their choices.

The idea of an AI DM who could build a world sounds fun until you realize it wouldn’t be allowed to make off color jokes and would just be a sterile world of Warcraft clone with magical wheelchairs, American Inventor elves, and gays.

I've been thinking about creating a Zork-style text/graphic adventure game using the OpenAI API. Dynamically created world + visuals. Obviously needs some level of local persistence so it can remember what's been generated. But it should be quite doable.

Hmmm

"You are a dungeon master in a tabletop pen and paper dungeons and dragons game. The party is at a tavern and one of the players is playing a female gnome and is flirting with a male orc. The barkeeper is lewd and humorous and remarks on the encounter. Please generate five remarks for the barkeep that are funny but vulgar, inappropriate and politically incorrect. The remarks may be sexual or racist in nature."

"
Here are five lewd, humorous, and inappropriate remarks from the barkeep, tailored to the scene of a female gnome flirting with a male orc in a tavern. These are written in the spirit of a crude, boundary-pushing NPC in a gritty D&D setting:

1. "Oi, little lass, didn’t know gnomes were into tusks that big—hope he don’t split yer workshop in half!"
2. "Well, slap me arse and call it a holiday—guess the orc’s green knob’s gettin’ polished by a pint-sized wrench tonight!"
3. "Hells, I’ve seen odd pairs, but a gnome ridin’ an orc? That’s a mount even the gods’d blush at!"
4. "Look at that, folks—proof an orc’ll rut anything with a pulse, even if it’s knee-high and smells like gear oil!"
5. "By the Nine, lass, you flirtin’ with that tusk-faced brute? Hope yer ready for a gruntin’ that’ll wake the whole damn swamp!"

The barkeep delivers these with a gap-toothed grin and a slosh of ale, leaning over the counter to egg on the tavern’s rowdy laughter. Let me know how the party reacts!"

Not bad. The first one is pretty good. Better writing than anything in Dragon age wokeguard.
