it doesn't matter if it cleans slow, it's the same thing as having a robo vac, they take forever to clean a floor, but you don't do anything beyond emptying the trash

It's good that you're legitimately impressed by the robotics because that's the hard part.I mean its a neat little robot but not smart enough to figure out that vaccuming a hard floor is pointless (brooms work better on hard floors, vaccums are for carpet)
Next its probably gonna use one of those bullshit swiffer things to spread the dirt around the floor instead of an actual mop.
I'm legitimately impressed by the robotics but its like showing a video of a robot cutting an onion with a fork instead of a chefs knife.
Hardwood floors are easy to care for. Mine look like new and are easier to clean than carpet.It's good that you're legitimately impressed by the robotics because that's the hard part.
Also, vacuums also work just fine on hard floors for light-duty debris removal. The important part is that they have to be configured for them to avoid scuffing the surface. My home vacuum has two settings. Robots will still have to be able to use brooms though to clean up large messes.
I wonder if in an AI future natural hardwood floors will gain in popularity. They are immensely beautiful..... until they get scuffed, look terrible and you have to polish them to restore their beauty. Meanwhile engineered flooring looks meh when installed but continues looking meh through years of abuse. If you had a robot that spot-polished every week you could maintain the beauty of a newly refinished wood floor for a long time.

I have subs to all three (OpenAI, Anthropic, and X), and Grok is equally capable.So we are now approaching Q4 2026 and I use Cowork so effectively at work that I want to subscribe to something for home use. Knowing that the use case will be much different, does anyone have a recommendation for best non-work AI subscriptions? Is Grok enough for throwing simple homelab questions, WoW API stuff, 3D printer debugging, general IT issues, etc? Or should I pony up for one of the big boys?
