American Horror Story: Asylum

This season is like a shotgun blast of insanity to the face. I wonder how all this shit is gonna get tied together? I'm kind of hoping the aliens thing is a red herring. I don't like too much scifi mixed in with my horror (unless it's Event Horizon).

The aliens IMO are the worst part of the show. When they showed up last ep. I facepalmed. Hope it's a red herring for sure.

still not sure where the aliens fit in all this. they still havent said a word yet. its likely a halucination due to the era.

As I briefly said on MN, I can't believe it took morning sickness for me to realize that Modern Bloodyface was literally Son of Bloodyface.

(I'm already cringing at the Ryan Murphy level of subtlety for that upcoming episode. "I have a baby serial killer in me! End it now!" "LoL, this is the 60s and we're Catholic. Every baby is sacred.""Surprise, it's a serial killer!")

As to the aliens, this is the torture porn genre season, and what are alien abductions but torture porn? I just wish there was some rationality to them - what, if anything, did they do when they ran into Sister Jude back in episode 2 or 3?

either sister jude was drunk and imagined it. she was implanted with something that will come into play later on or the aliens were just chilling in the halls on their way to grace's room and bumped into sister jude by accident.

Bleh. They went for shocks over story a bit this week. Still at least the alien angle was developed a lil more.

So is Pepper an alien? I hope so... fucking love her.

Love the story for the most part this season, but it seems overstuffed at points and dead in others. They missed an opportunity introducing the Angel of Death. She came too late in the season with so much intensity already happening. Whereas, they could've been tying her into earlier deaths, as well propelling her rivalry with possessed Sister Eunice.

I just finished season 1 last night and I'm pissed off. I enjoyed the shit out of the show up until the end. What a horribly disappointing conclusion.

I haven't read any of this thread, but my understanding is that season 2 does not have any relation to season 1? -- other than several actors being reused for different roles.. But there is no continuation of season 1's story? (not that there's anything really to continue quite honestly).

This show has some of the best cinematography ive ever seen in an american tv show

I like the everything and the kitchen sink approach to this series but I still don't see where the aliens fit into anything.

they should have ended the season last week

Waiting to see if they link anything at all to the first series, even if its a nod but so far it hasn't and looks like it wont at this point...sigh
2nd to last ep, I sure didn't see a lot of things coming. Its like they stretched the middle too much to just crunch together at the end.
