Non-factor, it's just a popup that comes up when you launch it from steam. Some of their older games is where it's fucked and requires you to login every time you reset your pc or exit the launcher.

I really really want this to be good because have got to have like 500 hours in anno 1800 but I played the demo some months ago and was really turned off by the graphics. They felt worse than 1800, lots of blur and fog and low resolution. Maybe it was just a settings or optimization thing but I was at least expecting a slight bump over 1800. This coupled with the constraints on the demo (I forget, was there a time limit or you just couldn't save?) kinda turned me off.
If anyone figures out some settings magic to improve the performance and optimize the graphics do tell. I have a decent machine although it will be 3 years old soon. 4090 x3d, etc.

I had some wierd settings in the demo. Looked really blurry. I finally found how to change them.
Saw a post they removed some motion blur or something in day 1 patch, so maybe it looks even better now. Will see in two hours when I get home.

Anyways, 5 hours in and I need a break. Game is fun.
Doing campaign to get used to everything so some stuff is locked until you progress further in the story. Think I did 3 hours in Latium then got sent to the hell hole of the british islands and built for 2 hours before my back started hurting.
Looking forward to no-lifing it the entire weekend.

It feels like my game is blurry or foggy in some way, not sure what setting it might be that cause it. Thought I imagined it until you mentioned the same.
I feel like the streams I watch of Anno are sharper. But maybe I'm wrong.
I'm playing at 4K and cranked everything to max and the game looks razor sharp to me, nothing at all weird graphically. My FPS is kinda shit though and I'm on a 5090. Either there is some optimization left to be done or I have to figure out what setting(s) are killing me.

Graphics seem cleaner than the beta to me, now that there's DLSS, etc. FWIW, I'm playing w/ HDR on too.

Real men use Playnite to combine all their launchers into one.
Anyway I'm not going to get this game for a year or so. The devs have said they don't want the complexity of 1800. So its like Anno1800--. I'll wait for some dlc to add some content.
