Is it going to be worth it to even do the expedition? You lose all your blue prints. Do they separate players after? Imagine folks who did not give up everything they had, against people starting over. How is that going to work? And after all this time I don’t even have 20% of the blueprints.

Depends. If you plan on playing heavily and keep doing expedition resets, then your wipe character does get bonus stash space and bonus talent points and XP boosts.

If you don't plan to play heavily, then I don't see much purpose in going through with expedition wipe. I'm doing the project, but mostly as busy work rather than a solid commitment to reset my character

The blueprints, so far for me anyway, aren't even really a thing. I have so much money its stupid and I have more fun using cheap shit than I do high end kit. I enjoy the 'zero to hero' gameplay of just finding whatever I can on map and limiting myself to that as I work my way up.

As far as weapons of choice, I'd mostly use greens unless I am trying to fight a boss. The purples don't really seem worth it unless I am going out specifically to pvp, and then it seems to matter more who gets the ambush off. Gear gives a small 'margin of error' advantage, but it doesn't /feel/ like there is that much a difference. Bigger shields might let you survive the initial hit of an ambush, but unless you can get to cover and reset the fight you're not really going to be able to win.

So I will prolly do the reset, just for something to do. The game is, at the end of the day, incredibly shallow and while I enjoy playing for the sneaking around and self challenge sorta of aspects of it there really isn't that much to do.

So doing the reset just to see what else it offers for new gameplay seems to be the way to go.

Note: I do not have the wolfpack blueprint, but if I did I might think at least twice before resetting. Wolfpacks have been easy enough to get from security lockers pre-nerf, but they are becoming less common and some bosses are just easier with them to a ridiculous level. But my stash is currently full of them and I don't need to kill any boss anymore except for the challenge of doing so. So, at the end of the day once you finish your upgrades they really aren't that needed either and can be substituted with stickies or the mines if your ballsy.
