I could be wrong. Perhaps in six months time people will think "I feel like PvP" and think AAge first...Except your games to go to for PVP were EVE, DAOC and darkfall.
...instead of growing trees and milking cows.

I would probably get a second large farm on an alt before I started to lvl my main, possibly 3, idk if its going to be anything like alpha because of non patron status not being able to own land and there being multiple servers but, if its anything like it is now once the land is taken, its taken for good and when something does come up for demo your not the only one who knows theres usually 10-15 people there trying to place as well, I think people are underestimating how valuable land is in this game, but I could be over valuing it because of how scarce it is on alpha, and im not sure how you would really make money without a farm since the patch grinding mobs isn't viable at all, unless its in the library and that wont be there on release.I'm contemplating do I go for a farmhouse first, instead of a regular house but most likely lose the prime spots? Or do I rush house, plant it for land and save another 50 stars for farm house later? Could probably get away with the farmhouse first, if you have 1 or 2 people who don't care for a house, still plant one to save land for you and you pay em back later.
Do I make a alt and get him his large farm also?
Seems most are rushing house just to mark a spot for their large farm later. The story quest gives 60 stars I think(or close to that because the rez priestess gives single star quests a few times). Also if you do the dungeon 3 times you get 3 stars iirc.
Also depends what I am told to do from guild![]()
Solo? I know guilds will have specific people who are just going to get a clipper(usually someone who doesn't want a house and with good availability). 50 stars shouldn't take long, if in a group and rushing story quest asap.Ya, I'm torn between land grab or rushing to get my clipper to make cross-sea trading easier. Clipper costs 50 gilda, though.
At the moment I am...RR guilds tend to be fickle as hell and I don't have a pre-existing guild organization to fall back on in this game. Not sure what I want to focus on in terms of crafting...machines seems cool because of the vehicles, although that is another gilda heavy line of crafting, which is why I wasn't sure if I should rush Clipper. If I had my own fast boat, it would be easier to do Freedom Isle trades during non-peak (aka, less pirate happy) hours.Solo? Why you can only hope there is enough servers to spread out and that players actually spread out(laughable I know) or trion forces them too.People on the Alpha forums seem to think that head start will be better for land than what we have now. I think they are in for a rude awakening. The head start servers are going to be 100% patron, everyone from alpha combined with everyone from beta. It's going to be a mad dash for land. I had planned to do the rush with my guild and have everything squared away in the first few days, but I really don't like my guild and am seriously considering waiting until after head start to jump on a new server. The problem with that, though, is that any server not open in head start will probably suck a month or two into the game.
Out on the sea pirating maybe. But sitting on the dock or just off the dock waiting for people to come in with their packs? That will be happening the 2nd day(when people start to make that run at the earliest). I can also see people sitting on freedich pretty early hoping to get people who think its "safe" for the first weekI figure pirating won't become as big until people start to get comfortable. I figure you will probably have a week of relatively low pirating, then it will begin to rapidly increase.
