Good hiking in and around Phoenix, just pretty much off limits for like 4-5 months out of the year(unless you love hiking in 100+ temps). If you dont mind driving there tons of hiking/outdoor activities in the mountains to the north and east.

Lies, Pima Air Museum is awesome. Probably the best air museum I have ever seen just because the sheer size of the aircraft they are able to keep (b-52s, etc).
